Valerie, an elderly lady, finds it easier to talk to her car than to people. She always has done, as she explains to the vehicle she's in today: a stately Roller.
She recalls courtship in the back of her husband's car; the limousine to the wedding; touring Europe in a beaten-up Camper van; ferrying children in a people carrier; and her husband trying to recapture his youth in a sports car.
