Alasdair Beckett-King is to host an improvised comedy series for Radio 4, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
Wing It features Rachel Parris and fellow Austentatious alumni Cariad Lloyd and Amy Cooke-Hodgson, plus Emma Sidi, Steen Raskopoulos, Kemah Bob, Amy Hoggart and Monica Gaga, as well as Luke Manning, Tom Mayo and Alexander Jeremy from improv group Shoot From The Hip.
Four episodes of the short-form improv series will air on Radio 4 from 7th December, after recording at the 21Soho club in London last week, with Sam Holmes of Shoot From The Hip and James Robinson producing for BBC Studios (The News Quiz, Obsessions).
The commission of Wing It, which has the tagline "No Script. No Prep. No Clue", comes after a successful pilot aired on the station in January, featuring Mike Wozniak hosting and several of the same cast of improvisers.
Located in central London, 21Soho has attracted considerable notoriety this year for its delay in paying comedians that have performed gigs at the venue, unconnected to the BBC recordings.
Beckett-King, who published the third book in his Montgomery Bonbon children's series this summer, Mystery At The Manor, is currently preparing a work-in-progress show ahead of his next stand-up tour, with King Of Crumbs coming to The Alma Tavern in Bristol on 30th January.
