Alison Spittle has landed her debut Radio 4 series in which she revisits the petty injustices of her youth and tries to get closure.
In Alison Spittle: Petty Please, the Irish comedian is said to hold "an unusual number of grudges", with the four 30-minute episodes, currently set to air in December, following her as she "tracks down those who have wronged her, and tries to get them to make amends".
In a video posted on Instagram, Spittle said she was "very, very excited" about the series, adding "it's going to be fun!"
Mixing stand-up and documentary-style snippets of the comic "exploring why I hold grudges over silly things", as with her BBC podcast Wheel Of Misfortune, which she initially hosted with Fern Brady and then with Kerry Katona, the series is also seeking listener contributions, specifically for "the pettiest grudge you've ever held" for potential inclusion in the series.
Produced by Victoria Lloyd ('Whatever Next?' With Miles Jupp, Olga Koch: OK Computer) for Mighty Bunny Productions (Jessica Fostekew: Sturdy Girl Club, Catherine Bohart - TL;DR), the series is recording at the Up The Creek comedy club in London on 23rd and 30th September, with free tickets available
