Alasdair Beckett-King is to host Wing It, an improvised comedy series for Radio 4, featuring Rachel Parris, Emma Sidi, Cariad Lloyd, Steen Raskopoulos, Kemah Bob, Amy Hoggart and members of the improv group Shoot From The Hip among others.

BBC Radio 4 is to launch Friday night topical comedy series The Naked Week in November. Hosted by Andrew Hunter Murray, with Amy Hoggart as chief correspondent, the episodes will offer "a fresh way of dressing the week's news in the altogether".

Radio 4 has ordered a series of word-based panel show Unspeakable, hosted by Phil Wang and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown lexicographer and etymologist Susie Dent, to air later this year.

Dr Phil Hammond and Tony Gardner are reviving their medical comedy double act, Struck Off And Die, after 25 years, for Doctor On Hold, a new Radio 4 series next year.

French & Saunders and Alexei Sayle are returning to Radio 4, with the channel recommissioning Whatever Happened To Baby Jane Austen? and Alexei Sayle's Imaginary Sandwich Bar, as well as Olga Koch: Ok Computer and the latest stand-up series from Ashley Blaker, Ashley Blaker's Hyperfixations.

The Delightful Sausage's Radio 4 sitcom Icklewick FM is returning for a second series, with active discussions about a television version, Amy Gledhill has revealed. She and her double act partner Chris Cantrill are also developing a game show for broadcast.
