Gallery 8, Episode 6 - Meeting Forty-Nine

For the final room in Gallery Eight, John Lloyd and Sarah Millican are joined by comedian Susan Calman, explorer and zoologist Lucy Cooke and Factum Arte's Adam Lowe.

Further details

Lucy Cooke, a zoologist and former comedy performer, founder of the Sloth Appreciation Society and self-declared "Amphibian Avenger", offers the Museum a pygmy sloth, which are only found in an island off the coast of Panama that seems to be constantly stoned.

Adam Lowe, artist and innovator, founder of Factum Arte art foundation which among other things helps to renovate art that is in danger of being destroyed with new technology, donates a Lucida 3D laser scanner, a machine that helps to re-create the surface of paintings that an endangered.

Susan Calman, Scottish comedian, an ex-solicitor who previously worked on Death Row cases, a suffer of a fear of raisins (inyaphobia) and collector of thimbles (a digitabulist), provides a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey, because it began as a copy of Twilight fan-fiction, and fan-fiction is something that is mainly dominated by women.

Notes

This and episode five were swapped around to avoid Susan Calman's appearance clashing with her appearance on The News Quiz that week.
