Further details
The geologist Michael Welland provides the museum with a choir of singing sand dunes, which consists of a fast collection of dunes, each playing a different note in the musical scale. No-one knows how it is done, but we do know there are more kinds of life in sand than the rainforest.
Author and historical biographer Sarah Bakewell donates the medallion designed by the 16th century sceptical French writer Michel de Montaigne. This is a medal that he designed to help inspire fellow writers.
Stand-up comedian and former soft porn writer Simon Evans provides the museum with a total eclipse, which is very interesting in that from Earth, the Sun and the Moon look exactly the same size, but it is all a coincidence.
