Jamie MacDonald, a Glaswegian comic, actor and writer who is also blind a has presented a documentary called Blind Ambition about aspiring people who are visually impaired, donates to the museum a blue badge. Jamie argues now is a brilliant time to be a disabled, and they talk about the black market in blue badges.
Jennifer Higgie, an Australian art critic, author, editor of the magazine Frieze, judge for several art awards including the Turner Prize, offers up a self portrait of Catharina van Hemessen in 1548. It is the first ever self portrait of anyone sat at an easel.
Francis Hamel, an Oxford-based painter of landscapes and portraits, who once received complaints from one woman who said that the diamond in her engagement ring wasn't painted big enough, gives The Garden of Earthly Delights, the painting by Hieronymus Bosch which among other things depicts a vision of Hell.
