Mr Finchley Takes The Road

1. Episode One

Tuesday 13^th April 1993

Mr Finchley falls in love with a gypsy caravan and a rather stubborn horse.

Mr Finchley runs into an ancient mariner who has many tales to tell of his life at sea, each one taller than the last. Also, the barber, Horace Blain, has won the Irish Sweepstake but his new-found wealth has separated him from the one great love of his life, cutting hair. Meanwhile, following hot on Mr Finchley's tail is Oliver Watt-Anselm, the worst private eye in the world.

3. Episode Three

Tuesday 27^th April 1993

Mr Finchley continues on his Kentish travels until, freeing a rabbit from a snare, he is captured by two gamekeepers and accused of poaching.

4. Episode Four

Tuesday 4^th May 1993

Mr Finchley is all at sea, discovers the dignity of labour, and visits an old haunt.

5. Episode Five

Tuesday 11^th May 1993

Mr Finchley goes on a crusade, Master Finchley plays truant, and a barber gets a close shave.

6. Episode Six

Tuesday 18^th May 1993

Mr Finchley meets a one-man band, is put in the picture and all is revealed.
