A brand new factual comedy series about social care, carers, and the industrial caring industry, hosted by Mary Bourke.
10 million people in the UK provide unpaid care for disabled or elderly relatives, friends or neighbours. Their job is long, lonely and hard, yet there is limited support and no formal training. As a result, carers suffer frequent damage to physical and mental health. They are liable to feelings of guilt, probably brought by fatigue and isolation.
This comedy series is for them, their supporters and for people who don't know what being a carer is all about. As well as the day to day realities of care - the admin, the responsibility, the day-to-day living ... we'll also tackle the taboo: sex, toilets, and thoughts of murder - through stand-up comedy from an array of comic talent with personal experience.
We want carers listening to realise their feelings of guilt, isolation and frustration are not unique to them and they're not alone even when they're scraping shit off a wall at four in the morning.
