The Quintessential Phase, Episode 3 - Fit The Twenty-Fifth

In which Trillian tells Arthur Dent he is a father, Ford Prefect sends Arthur a parcel, and Arthur's new daughter Random flies to Earth.

Further details

The space ship that Arthur was on has crashed on the planet Lamuella. Arthur has since become 'The Sandwich Maker', making sandwiches out of Perfectly Normal Beasts (a bison like animal). Then another space ship lands on Lamuella. Arthur is shocked to find Trillian on it and even more shocked to find a teenage girl on it called Random Frequent Flyer Dent... she turns out to be Arthur's daughter! Meanwhile, Ford manages to use the robot Colin to escape from the offices of The Guide.

Random does not get on well with Arthur, partly because she has no real home. Arthur gets a package for Ford which Random steals and opens. It is a black bird called The Guide Mark II. The Bird tells Random that she can go to one of the alternative Earth's if she wants and gives her a space ship so that she can do so, after knocking out the original pilot with a stone. Arthur arrives to find that not only is he too late, but the pilot is Ford. Meanwhile, Tricia is on Rupert trying to help the Grebulons.
