Series 1, Episode 5 - Moscow

Cycling solo on a tandem, the inept student is Russia-bound fundraising for donkeys. He starts by riding along the M25.

Further details

Giles abandons his feet and decides to go by pedal power, using nothing less than a tandem and a pair of rather skimpy cycle shorts. He's going to ride all the way to Moscow to raise money for Budleigh Salterton Donkey Sanctuary with nothing more than a blow-up globe for comfort. Along the way, he meets Russians, Croats, Italians, a dinner lady from Taunton and the entire Tour De France. Plus he takes part in a game of boules that inadvertently knocks out a Frenchman... so not a complete disaster then.
