Rum Punch to return to Radio 4 for full series
Rum Punch, the Radio 4 sitcom about a multigenerational family running a Caribbean restaurant, is to return to the station for a full series, following the success of the pilot broadcast in March.
The show is written by and stars stand-up comedian Travis Jay. He plays Marley, a conflict-averse aspiring boxer who works in his parents' restaurant.
Producers Avalon say: "Set to air in 2025, the show follows a multigenerational family as they juggle pursuit of their individual ambitions with their responsibilities to the family restaurant in the heart of Lewisham. Travis will reprise the role of Marley, an unreliable millennial convinced he has a bright future in boxing ahead of him, despite his lax training schedule, unhealthy lifestyle and never having won a fight."
