Munya Chawawa, Eddie Kadi & more bring Christmas to BBC Radio 1Xtra
Comedians are taking over BBC Radio 1Xtra this Christmas, as they try to find the best joke of 2023.
Munya Chawawa, Darren Harriott, Kyrah Gray, Slim, Cassandra Maria and Eddie Kadi, who usually presents the channel's Afrobeats Chart Show, will be appearing with its regular DJs in two hour slots throughout Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
With the the hip hop and R&B channel asking listeners to submit their best jokes for consideration across the two days, the Christmas Of Comedy kicks off with Slim and Ace discussing festive movies at 10am on 25th December, followed by Harriott and Kaylee Golding "testing how hygienic they are".
Chawawa and Remi Burgz are trying to identify "the mystery meat", Kadi and Ace are playing jungle tunes, Maria and Golding are once again testing personal hygiene for some reason and Gray and Burgz will be rounding things off by trying to guess what fellow presenter Nadia Jae had for Christmas dinner.
