Chris McCausland's You Heard It Here First returning to Radio 4
Chris McCausland's Radio 4 panel show You Heard It Here First is returning for an expanded second series next year, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.
Six more episodes have been ordered of the show in which comedians attempt to decipher brainteasers from sound cues.
Recording dates and guests have yet to be confirmed. But Lee Mack, Alan Davies, Kerry Godliman, Rob Beckett, Suzi Ruffell, Phil Wang, Andy Parsons, Paul Chowdhry, Sarah Keyworth, Amy Gledhill and Nina Wadia were among those to feature in the four episodes that broadcast in the spring.
Meanwhile, McCausland has revealed that he's hopeful of making a second series of his Channel 4 travel series, Wonders Of The World I Can't See.
Originally airing in June, the travelogue followed the blind stand-up as he visited various international destinations accompanied by fellow comics, specifically Harry Hill, Tom Allen, Liza Tarbuck and Guz Khan.
"I am delighted with what we made" he told Adam Dowling on BBC Radio Kent. "Talking about the disability aspect, primarily, we put that to one side. The priority was entertainment. Funny. Anything else is kind of under the surface of that.
"I think we made what we set out to make. The viewers responded really well, Channel 4 loved it and I think everybody wants to make some more ... Unfortunately, at the moment, TikTok have stolen all of the advertising money in the world and they're keeping it to themselves! So trying to get something made at the moment or waiting to hear back on Series 2 is a little bit more of a waiting game than it used to be.
"But I would hope that we get to make some more. Maybe next year, fingers crossed."
McCausland also begins a new stand-up tour in 2024, with Yonks! currently running from 9th January at The Mill in Banbury till 13th December at the Hammersmith Apollo.
