This comedy drama by Martyn Hesford looks at the showbiz career of iconic comic Frankie Howerd, who had quite a few ups and downs.
It was during one of these 'down' periods in 1962, that Frankie decided to take a trip. Not to Clacton but to the other side of his consciousness as he tried to deal with his depression through the controversial, though legal, use of LSD.
During his trip, induced by a doctor, Frankie flashes back to events from his childhood, and some of his career-defining moments on stage.
