All series

Series 1 (2006)

The topics tackled in this first series included freedom of speech; religion; animals at war; crime; healthy eating; and equality.

Series 2 (2007)

In series two Gary looked at chocolate; bullying; property sales; immigration; love; plastic surgery; natural disasters; global warming; education; and ghosts. 2007 also saw the broadcast of the first Down The Line special... the team looked at the legacy of Tony Blair.

Series 3 (2008)

Amongst the topics under the microscope in series three were the liberal agenda of the media; string theory; popular science fiction; technology; the elderly; the countryside; the Olympics; bad manners and modern liberal parenting.

2009 Special

The new special in 2009 saw the team tackling issues related to the credit crunch.

Series 5 (2013)

Food, music, global warming, urban foxes, gay marriage and fracking were amongst the topics in the fifth series.

Lockdown Special (2020)

Gary Bellamy returns with a special episode with listeners ringing up to discuss Covid-19. There was a second episode, made just for BBC Sounds.
