This collection contains the 20 episodes from the second radio series of Dad's Army, first broadcast from February to June 1975.
Whilst the Walmington-On-Sea Home Guard are most famous for their exploits on television, they did also carry out their duty on the wireless. Stars Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, Arnold Ridley and more.
Tuesday 11th February 1975
Captain Mainwaring tackles a difficult exercise, using a bird warbler, a fake log on a raft, and Frazer in a diving suit.
Tuesday 18th February 1975
Frazer is becoming increasingly troublesome, so Mainwaring tries to solve the problem by making Frazer a temporary captain. The plan soon gets itself into trouble when a visitor mistakes Frazer for Mainwaring.
Tuesday 25th February 1975
Jones, Frazer, Pike and Godfrey go on patrol in the local lighthouse, but soon course trouble when they turn the light on and shine it over Walmington-on-Sea... during an air-raid.
Tuesday 4th March 1975
Mainwaring becomes obsessed with the state of the platoon's feet. His demanding marches soon forces the members of the platoon to try and stop him.

Pike gets caught in the barbed wire on Walmington's beach, so it is up to Mainwaring and Wilson to save him before the tide comes in.
Tuesday 18th March 1975
Godfrey finds him a victim of ridicule after he tells Captain Mainwaring that during the Great War, he was a conscientious objector.
Tuesday 25th March 1975
After Walmington-on-Sea's ARP HQ is bombed, Mainwaring is forced to share the church hall with Hodges. Problems soon arise after the church hall's chimney is set on fire.
Tuesday 1st April 1975
After Mainwaring is caught shining a light during the blackout, Hodges manages to get his chance of putting the Captain behind bars. It looks like Hodges will get his way when it Mainwaring learns that Captain Square is the chief magistrate.

Captain Mainwaring becomes disillusioned due to the platoon's refusal to respect the national anthem and problems with his wife Elizabeth. Maybe 'Napoleon' can find escape in his dreams?
Tuesday 15th April 1975
The platoon is angered when they learn that some officers are trying to create a Home Guard style commando unit from the younger soldiers. In response, they plan to tackle an exercise using their minds rather than their physical strength.
Tuesday 22nd April 1975
Captain Mainwaring organises a dance event in order to improve relations between members of the platoon. However, the event is likely to be spoilt with Pike's plan to announce a surprise engagement.

Mainwaring decides to invite more women to help the Home Guard. One of these women, Mrs Gray, catches his eye. Could this be the path to love?
Tuesday 6th May 1975
Jones is running low on meat, but Walker claims that he can get some for him in the form of pigeons. But surely a massive drop in the pigeon population in Trafalgar Square cannot go unnoticed?

The platoon replace the resident guards at Walmington's local prison-of-war camp. The fact that the camp is full of Italians instead of Germans makes the job less appealing, but for Walker the prisoners can be put to use.

While Mainwaring hosts a party in his house with some of his men, the bank gets bombed. It is up to his troops to make sure that none of the bank's money goes missing.

Jones goes to the bank to deposit £500, given to him by the local shopkeepers as a donation to the serviceman's canteen. However, Jones misplaces the money before he gets there.
Tuesday 3rd June 1975
The platoon go on a course about the use of explosives. However, Mainwaring is lead astray by his fellow officers, in particular Captain Square.
Tuesday 10th June 1975
Captain Mainwaring is horrified to learn that Wilson has not just been made the manager of his own branch of the bank, but that he has been promoted to Second Lieutenant of the Eastgate platoon.
Tuesday 17th June 1975
After a near-death experience, Hodges decides to be kinder to everyone. This includes Captain Mainwaring, who has decided to help a farmer friend of Godfrey's.
Tuesday 24th June 1975
The platoon discover a runaway barrage balloon and decided to release it safely themselves. This proves not to be wise, the balloon flies away with Captain Mainwaring and Lance Corporal Jones still hanging onto it.
