Set in the 18th Century, Fenton Babblewick (Nicholas Le Prevost) is an idealistic man who suddenly inherits his uncle's estate in Yorkshire. For him, this perfect chance of creating his utopian ideas. His manservant August Snipe (Forbes Masson) however is less keen, with the estate full of animals, the house is cold, and it is too far away from London.
