About Sean Lock: 15 Storeys High

Sean Lock's 15 Storeys High (sometimes mis-typed as 15 Stories High) was a development from the earlier Radio 4 series 15 Minutes of Misery.

Written by Martin Trenaman and Sean Lock, the idea at the heart of the programme is that it takes a London tower block and moves around the building in a random fashion, eavesdropping on the various tenants as they go about their lives.

Sean and Errol are the occupants of Flat 76, and are the main characters in the show, but during the ten episodes recorded (five in both series), we meet lots of other interesting and often hilarious characters. For example, there's the women who occasionally meets Sean and tries to guess where he's been, where he's going or what he's been doing; a couple trying to write a 'Song for Europe'; and a father who unkindly dismisses all his son's achievements.

Other residents include a German trying to master English; a man who admits to knowing nothing, but has an opinion on everything; a man who returns from his holiday with detailed photos of all the meals he ate; a man who keeps contacting Performing Rights because he inadvertently keeps humming tunes to himself; and an ex-bomb disposal man; among many others.

The series follows the misadventures of Sean and Errol, so each episode tends to have a theme, or themes, in addition to the incidental humour.
