If the speed of sound is just 0.01, a cooking method is dangerous and an astronaut serves no purpose, who might break the chain?

Last week's cryptic question

If a 100% factual compendium on gradual biological change is followed by a visit to a mindful city, a philosophical reworking of Bonnie Tyler, and an optimistic period of thinking, who is on air?

Maria & Alex Hughes, Wayne Mason, Kate Emmett and S A Richmond all knew who was on air.

See the answer

The one on air is Rob Newman, as these are clues to the radio programmes he has starred in recent years, listed chronologically.

The 100% factual compendium on gradual biological change references his 2015 show Robert Newman's Entirely Accurate Encyclopaedia Of Evolution.

This was followed in 2017 by Neuropolis (mindful city)

Then in 2018 by Total Eclipse Of Descartes (philosophical reworking of Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart).

And in 2020 by his Half-Full Philosophy Hour (optimistic period of thinking - and "Half-Full" because it lasted just half-an-hour).

His most recent show, from 2022, was Rob Newman On Air.
