Last week's cryptic question

What did a staff member at the Old Pizzle, one of Timpkins' flock, and an accurate Taurus, end up as?

Kate Emmett, Niki Walton, Glen Passman and Gary Richmond had carefully watched the particular sitcom episode this question was linked to.

See the answer

They ended up as Queen Elizabeth I, as these were the disguises of the evil Prince Ludwig the Indestructible in the finale of Blackadder II.

We first learn that when Lord Blackadder met with a black marketer and smuggler called Otto - whom he would dine, plot and play the biscuit game at the Old Pizzle in Dover with - Ludwig was the waitress Big Sally.

Then from Lord Melchett, when he talked to a shepherd called Timpkins at a Cornish monastery, Ludwig was one of the sheep.

Ludwig is tricked into dressing up as a very good looking cow (taurus being the scientific name for the cow), because an escaped Blackadder and Melchett know it is him rather than a bad looking cow, worn by Nursie as a fancy dress costume.

In the final, post-credits scene of the episode, Blackadder and the rest of the cast have all been murdered by Ludwig, disguised as the Queen (although he hasn't quite got the voice right yet).
