Last week's cryptic question

Why does the following jumble that came up last week fit this quiz: a petto, shore, bi brat, cup egg, he planet, rootiest, hoe us, I born, ag eel, lacier, try hop, shoe, to rob, toed sexennial, merge git.

Gary Richmond, Alex & Maria Hughes, Dan Shakir and Baz Slater managed to explain why these jumbled letters fitted the quiz in question.

See the answer

The anagrams in this question related to something which appeared in the Taskmaster Series 18 grand final. In one task, the contestants had to count up all the chairs in a cinema, while saying the objects that appeared on the cinema screen. The items were in order: "Teapot, horse, rabbit, eggcup, elephant, tortoise, house, robin, eagle, éclair, trophy, hose, robot, extension lead, egg timer."

The reason it fits with the quiz this question was posed in is because the film provided a clue to the number of seats, as the first letter of each item spells out: three three three - meanwhile it was our Quiz #333.
