BCG Pro Short Film Award

For 2025 we're refreshing BCG Pro's Talent Awards for Production, and are delighted to announce the launch of our BCG Pro Short Film Award in its place.
Ranging from 10-second sketches to 10-minute shorts, we're now hunting for the best videos - that is, a one-off production - from the hotbed of creativity that makes up the UK comedy scene.
There are a plethora of independent film festivals and prizes around: where we differ is that we're explicitly looking for the outright funniest as our predominant judging criteria. Great production values will of course be considered, but it's the laugh count that matters most.
Think you've got what it takes?
During our three-month entry window (the competition closes 30th April), we want your best comic ideas on video. These could be brand new creations especially for the competition or something you've made in the last 18 months. You can have entered and even won other festivals and contests too - unlike some, we're not precious. All we ask is it's funny.
The best will be screened at a very special event to be held later this year, where a highly regarded, exciting, prolific industry expert will be on hand to act as judge and name the top three. We can't wait to let you know who!
How do I enter?
Each BCG Pro member may submit one entry to the contest, either by themselves as an individual or on behalf of a partnership or group.
Simply fill in the entry form with your name and a link to your finished production.
The deadline to enter is 23:59 BST on Wedneday 30th April 2025.
Any questions? Do get in touch and ask.
