The BCG Pro Talent Awards celebrate the best up-and-coming British comedy writers, producers and performers. They're designed to both challenge and develop entrants' abilities, and to showcase the best new talents to the comedy industry.

There are two levels of award: one for Starter members and one for our other members; so you're only ever competing with your peers.
Short Film AwardFebruary to April
An exciting new competition for 2025, the BCG Pro Short Film Award culminates in a special screening with a highly respected judge.
Submissions can range in length up to 10-minutes, from one-off sketch to fully-fledged short film.
WritingMay to July
This award involves stretching your sketch-writing muscles, with a focus on funny. Every script is read by at least two readers.
Cash prizes are on offer, whilst some entrants may also receive feedback and exposure to production partners.
PerformanceAugust to October
The Performance award is for those who perform comedy live. To enter, submit a video clip of yourself in action. The best 5 entrants in the competition are then invited to take part in a live final, alongside a judges' Starter winner.
Prizes include expert coaching and mentoring.
