Bennett Arron

Bennett is a BAFTA Shortlisted Writer, Director, Comedian, Actor, Author and TV & Radio Presenter.
 
He has written and performed in two radio series, Bennett Arron is Jewelsh and Bennett Arron Worries About… both of which were nominated for a Celtic Media Award. 

He has written for many comedy programmes, including Hit The Road Jack, Off Their Rockers and the BAFTA winning Graham Norton Show. He has had over 30 sitcom scripts produced on Television and Radio. He was one of the main writers on both Genie in The House, the highest-rated children's sitcom on Nickelodeon, and the BAFTA-winning Slammer for the BBC.
 
He recently played the role of Morris in all four series of the Radio 4 Sitcom ALONE.
 
Bennett has performed all around the UK as well as entertaining audiences in Italy, Australia, Germany, Poland, South Africa and Hong Kong. He also supported Ricky Gervais on some of his tour gigs. 
 
Bennett presented the BBC documentary The Kosher Comedian in which he traced his family’s roots from Lithuania to South Wales. He also directed and presented the Channel 4 documentary How To Steal An Identity in which he stole the identity of the Home Secretary. The programme was Pick of the Day in The Guardian and The Telegraph.
 
Bennett has written three books: the memoir Heard The One About Identity Theft? the romantic comedy novel The Girl From The Discotheque and the Step-By-Step Guide to Sitcom Writing My First Sitcom.
 
Bennett is a past winner of both the TAPS Comedy Writer of the Year Award and the BBC New Writer's Award, and is a past finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards. However his proudest moment was coming third in an International Disco Dancing Championship in Tenerife.
