Two Doors Down star Elaine C Smith is offering a £500 annual prize to a comedy-focused female final-year student at the Glasgow-based Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Brown Sauce, the leading London-based monthly comedy club for South Asian comedy, has announced it is working with Tara Theatre - the UK's oldest global majority-led theatre company - to put on an exclusive workshop and showcase event: The Comedy Lab.
Komedia Kids, Screen Yorkshire, Funny Women, Fem De La Femme, MilkTea, You Can Laugh You Know, Afro Comedy and Mixer, Female Pilot Club, The South Asian Comedy Collective and Theatre in the Mill have each been awarded a £5,000 grant from BBC Comedy to work on inclusion and development projects.
