The partnership, which will "bring together icons of British comedy with social media comedy talent in an exciting collaboration", was announced at a launch event last night at The Comedy Store.
Entry is now open for Stage Award, Comedy Writing Award, Comedy Shorts Award and Content Creator Award, with a deadline of 1st June (aside from Content Creator, which remains open until 25th August).
The awards ceremony, which will include the final of the Stage Award, will take place at London's Bloomsbury Theatre on 25th September.
The organisers say: "The Funny Women Awards have been a significant platform since their inception in 2003, providing a safe space and empowerment for women and female-identifying performers and creators to develop their comedic skills and showcase their talent across various mediums. With winners and finalists including Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, London Hughes, Zoe Lyons, Bridget Christie, Susan Calman and many more, the event has helped launch grow countless comedy talent across the UK over the years."

Founder Lynne Parker says: "The Funny Women Awards are the 'beating heart' of our community and I am so proud that the BBC Studios Funny Parts has come on board to support us this year. Free to enter and accessible to anybody who identifies as female, we engage almost 2k entrants and nominees for five different awards shining a light on some of the newest and most exciting acts, writers and creators. As an important talent incubator, Funny Women provides safe places for women to experiment, explore and encounter comedy practice through workshops, courses, open mics and mentorship. Having the awards live again is the icing on the cake, and we can't wait to see what new talent lies in store for us this year."
Jasmine Dawson from BBC Studios comments: "We are excited to support the Funny Women Awards this year. In a male-dominated industry, it's crucial to champion and uplift female comedians, and BBC Studios Digital Brands is dedicated to providing a platform for diverse, emerging voices. These awards offer a unique opportunity to highlight the incredible talent of women in comedy, allowing them to break through and make their mark. This partnership reflects our commitment to fostering fresh perspectives and creating space for underrepresented voices to thrive. We can't wait to see the brilliant talent that will emerge through this collaboration."
