CDG Casting Awards 2024 comedy nominees revealed
- The casting teams behind Dreaming Whilst Black, Extraordinary, Motherland, Sex Education and Ted Lasso are up for an award
- The winners of the Casting Directors' Guild's annual awards will be revealed on 21st February
Heather Basten wins Best Casting in a TV Comedy Series award
The nominees for 'Best Casting in a TV Comedy Series' in the Casting Directors' Guild Casting Awards have been announced.
They are:
Heather Basten, Peter Noden and Fran Cattaneo (Assistants)
Suzanne Crowley and Gilly Poole, Katie Mozumder (Associate)
Sarah Crowe, Ben Marks (Associate)
Ted Lasso
Theo Park, Laura MacFadden (Associate)
Elsewhere in the nominations, Saltburn casting director Kharmel Cochrane and Triangle Of Sadness casting director Jessie Frost are amongst the shortlist for Best Casting in a Film. Meanwhile the Best Casting in an Independent Film category features Kharmel Cochrane again, this time for Rye Lane, and Shaheen Baig for her work on Scrapper.
The results of the awards, which are run as a partnership between The Casting Directors' Guild and Spotlight, will be announced at a ceremony on 21st February.
Co-chairs Jessica Ronane and Rebecca Wright say: "We are delighted to be celebrating the sixth edition of our CDG Awards, recognising the outstanding contributions of our members.
