TTG (TicketText Group), the company behind London live entertainment venues 2Northdown and 21Soho which specialise in stand-up comedy, has announced the expansion of Laughing Around, its TV, digital & podcast production business.
Following the recent hire of producer Lauren Jay (The Stand Up Sketch Show, Mock The Week), Laughing Around is now actively developing projects, both scripted and non-scripted for broadcasters, SVODs, digital and podcast platforms.
Laughing Around owns its own podcast studio in 21Soho and is set to announce producer agreements for a number of newly developed podcasts, as well as taking on already established ones. It has also revealed that it has multiple formats being developed with broadcast commissioners.
Going forward Laughing Around is seeking scripts and original ideas to also take into development, and is currently meeting with agents, comedians and broadcasters. At present it is not accepting independent creators scripts and original ideas, however a spokesperson told BCG Pro: "We are looking to offer this in the future as we grow Laughing Around."
Nick Mills, founder of TTG, said: "I am incredibly proud of the speed at which Laughing Around has grown over the past 12 months. With Lauren joining the team, the business will continue to grow from strength to strength as we accelerate momentum with her wealth of experience, already allowing us to open up new creative and commercial opportunities."
