Has Coronavirus finally burst the Edinburgh Fringe bubble?

This year should have been my thirtieth Edinburgh Fringe, but it looks like I'm going to have to wait until 2021 to celebrate that anniversary. In a decision reached collectively by the council, promoters and major arts organisations in the city, the Edinburgh Fringe festival will now certainly not take place in its traditional form in 2020. This summer's Tattoo, International Festival and Book Festival will not happen in the Scottish capital at all.
