The general direction of online content creation long ago shifted to the quickfire short-form formats offered by social media. By comparison, blogging might seem a bit old-fashioned today or a bit "Web 1.0".

Some people see blogs as TLDR (too long, didn't read), but huge numbers of people read full-length books on their computer screens and handheld devices today, so maybe it's time for a blogging renaissance.
