What sort of material is acceptable in your script?
Comedy professionals often talk about the difference between "punching up" and "punching down", and it can be difficult - particularly when you're a fledgling writer - to know precisely what sort of material is acceptable in your script. Jokes that may have been fine 10 years or so ago might now present considerable problem for producers and commissioners keen to avoid too much controversy.
