My Comedy Career: Bilal Zafar
Bilal Zafar talks about the importance of sticking at something, how late payments for gigs are a problem, and how's been proactive in creating a new web series.
Tell us what you do in your job.
I am mainly a stand-up comedian, performing in comedy clubs around the country. I've taken three solo shows to Edinburgh so far, followed by nationwide tours and runs at London's Soho Theatre.
I also do some writing, mainly sketches for BBC Radio 4's Sketchtopia; and some acting, with my best role to date being in Last Christmas alongside Emma Thompson and Emilia Clarke.
