We interviewed Joe Wilkinson to find out more about the new sitcom he co-writes and stars in, The Cockfields. Exclusive to BCG Pro, here's more of our discussion, in which he talks about the development of his sketch show Two Episodes Of Mash with comedy partner Diane Morgan; the process of writing comedy scripts with David Earl; and his philosophy on what the very best comedy should aim to achieve.
Two Episodes Of Mash was your first big break. Do you consider it a stepping stone to TV, or would you ever return to it?
Oh, I'd love to return. When you start out in comedy, you've got a lot of time to work together, because you're not employed. Later it becomes harder and harder to work together, because obviously Diane has taken off and done amazingly.
