Funny Women Stage Awards 2020 finalists revealed
The finalists for the Funny Women Stage Awards 2020 have been revealed.
The organisers explain: "In our search for the eight 2020 Funny Women Stage Awards finalists, the Funny Women team and a select panel of industry judges scored 320 submissions videos in multiple stages; two preliminary rounds, ten virtual heats rounds and two live online semi-finals, all during lockdown!"
Funny Women Awards director Becky Singh says: "The Funny Women Team have been really impressed with this year's entrants. The standard was very high and in the face of challenges, the level of dedication and willingness to embrace the new platforms, especially from our semi-finalists, has been truly inspiring."

The grand final will take place as a private event at London's Comedy Store on Tuesday 22nd September, involving just the acts. The show, hosted by 2014 winner Jayde Adams, will be able to watch exclusively via live stream. Tickets will be made available next week.
