Are you the UK's funniest blogger?
Personalised card company TheDogsDoodahs.com has announced the launch of its annual search for the UK's funniest blog. The awards, now in their third year, "celebrate those bloggers that help brighten our days with their irreverent, sardonic, or just plain wacky sense of humour."
The organisers are inviting the public to name their favourite funny blogs, and publishers are welcome to submit their own blogs for inclusion in the judging process. Additionally, for the first time, Twitter accounts and video feeds are also being accepted into the competition.
Once all the nominations are in, a shortlist will be decided which will then be put to an online public vote. The blog which gains the most votes, along with the glory of being able to run with the label 'The UK's Funniest Blog 2014', will win a Nexus 7 tablet or a £200 cash prize.
The deadline to nominate a blog, Twitter feed or video stream is 15th January 2014. To submit a nomination email delores@thedogsdoodahs.com. Note that only UK-based bloggers are eligible to win.
Sleep Talkin' Man, a blog detailing a long-suffering wife's account of her husband's utterances from his dream world ("Zombie rugby could be a lot better, but they keep passing their arms") was the winner last year.
The other 2012 finalists were Angry People in Local Newspapers, Best Dad I Can Be, The Further Adventures of Oddbloke, Bit Comedy and Media Attention
