Comedy festival meet and greet event organised for January 2019
An event in which comedians can meet those who run comedy festivals has been organised for 20th January 2019.
Festival Circuit Day, organised by Ask The Industry Podcast host Simon Caine, will take place at The Bill Murray in Islington from noon to 4pm on the Sunday.
The blurb explains: "Want to tour a show? Want to preview a new show? Want to get into the UK comedy festival circuit but aren't sure where to start? Come on down and meet a ton of festival founders, promoters, venue organisers from around the UK (along with a handful from the Edinburgh Fringe) and ask your questions. This one-off event is YOUR chance to get a leg up into the festival circuit."
The event is free, but you must request a ticket in advance of turning up to help organisers know numbers.
At the time of writing, representatives from the Leicester, Glasgow, Bath, Brighton, Cambridge, Women in Comedy, Hastings, Oxford, Shaftesbury, Camden, Faversham, Objectively Funny, Nottingham, Hull, Derby and Edinburgh festivals have been confirmed as attending, with more names expected to be added in the run up to the event.
