Write, write, write!
Want to be a comedy writer? Then you need to write.
We know it sounds obvious, but you'd be amazed by the amount of people who say they want to write comedy and don't actually write anything.
We implore you: do not fall into that trap.
And it's an easy trap to fall into. Because - as Mel Smith's Colin in the wonderful Colin's Sandwich so beautifully highlighted - writing is hard.
Think about it: if writing comedy wasn't difficult, everyone would do it. And they don't, because they can't.
