Should you be lucky enough to have one of your scripts achieve the seemingly nigh-on impossible reality of actually bagging a meeting with a production company or channel exec, chances are you will be asked this question: "Why this, why now?". And if you manage to honestly answer it without resorting to the 'Alan Partridge shrug GIF', you are a far better person than I.
I jest of course (mostly). I know there are plenty reading this that would not only find it easy...
