Studio audience sitcom - the advantages

There is a lot of snobbery around studio audience sitcom. For some reason, we are increasingly cynical about programmes which are so uncompromising in their focus on making ordinary people laugh.

Whilst it is true that there are fewer studio audience sitcoms in production in the UK than ever before, that doesn't necessarily mean the genre is dead.

Commissioning priorities can change. And there is still a huge amount of love for traditional sitcoms amongst the public.
