Sitcom or comedy drama?

Things change - and they have arguably changed more in British broadcast comedy in the last decade or so than in the preceding 60 years.
Whether you think this is a good or bad thing is open to debate, and largely a reflection of individual taste, but it means that comedy writers - particularly new(er) comedy writers - are operating in quite a different world to their predecessors.
Certainly, the boundaries between what constitutes a sitcom or a comedy drama have evolved.
It used to be the case that a sitcom would have a studio audience whereas a comedy drama...
