It's a story we here time and again: new writers setting off on their latest script project with gusto, before losing momentum as the word count ticks up, then struggling or failing to make it to the end.

Of course, this is partly understandable. When you start, you are full of enthusiasm - and have yet to encounter the kind of problems that make writing situation comedy difficult.

Issues with the plot, issues with the characters: these might only start to reveal themselves as you get into the guts of the script, particularly if you haven't been sure to nail...
