How to break in as a comedy writer

Breaking into the comedy industry, particularly as a non-performing writer, can seem daunting. But, although it's undeniably difficult, it is far from impossible.

Ultimately, all professional writers have to "break in". And that means, they need to get their work seen.

So: how do you achieve this?

Well, the first thing to remember is that producers and executives are quite genuinely on the hunt for fresh and funny material.
