7 things to check before submitting your sitcom script

So you've written your sitcom script? Congratulations! But, before you fire it off, take a moment.

Here are 7 crucial checks to make before hitting "send".

1) Is your premise clear and compelling?

Can you explain your sitcom's concept in one or two sentences? If not, it might be too complicated.

Look at Ghosts: "A cash-strapped young couple inherit a grand country house, only to find it's haunted by ghosts from different historical periods."

Clear, compelling, and full of comic potential.

Think about other successful sitcoms. Motherland: "A group of middle-class parents navigate school-gate politics." Or Friday Night Dinner: "A...
