Speechless is a show about a group of underground rebel comedians using physicality and technology after an act bans comedic speech.
We wanted to use some of these motifs of rebellion, so we made the poster a wanted poster.
The background is a heavily censored version of the imaginary speechless bill, to represent the illicit nature of the show.
A lot of fringe posters use photos of the performer as central, so we thought it would be cool to blur the face out to subvert this! The anonymity is intriguing and represents the universal aspect of our show.
Our costume is a black and white striped t-shirt so we used this monochrome throughout, but we have added some purple and yellow to make it pop out on the mile!
