We wanted to create a poster that is at once an homage to the classic spaghetti Western while also an advertisement for a clown show. We spent a long time studying classic posters such as for The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and A Fistful of Dollars. It was important to us to portray the clown in his serious, gruff masculinity--to show that this is a man who takes himself very seriously. This seriousness is crucial for the clown and the cowboy.
