The poster was designed simply because I felt the image of a man in a bright yellow bee costume would be the most eye-catching image for the show and at least get people's attention as well as fit the title and themes of the show. My style of comedy is surrealist and so I need to do what I can to convey to audiences that I am a surrealist and to expect a chaotic show, lest they come in expecting something more mainstream.
The honey, which is Greek honey, was used as it was the darkest honey I could find and tasted more like treacle, but was used as cheap honey would have just looked like a crying person in a bee costume and I want silly not sad - but I did want to have a homage to tears of a clown as I am one.
I also like the writing font for the show title, "Something, Something Autism", as it is a homage to Psycho. The title as a whole is to convey that this might be a show on autism but it is not a typical autistic comedy show as it is clown.
