Zara Gladman is a comedy writer and performer whose work ranges from live stand-up and musical comedy to video-based character and sketch comedy.
She was nominated for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award in 2024. She is perhaps best known for her viral sketches and comedy characters, including Glasgow's "West end mum", "Scottish newsreader" and the "woman who is secretly a rat". Gladman has written for TV, radio and online for BBC, Channel 4 and educational theatre. She is also a trained scientist with a PhD in Zoology.
