At a festival almost ruined by Covid and social distancing, stand-ups are set to have the last laugh with the revival of a famous Edinburgh comedy award. While many annual festival prizes have been postponed until next year, Dave's Joke of the Fringe has been reborn, though without its usual sponsor. Instead, comedian Will Mars has created a "Some Guy Called Dave Joke of the Fringe" award, to be presented to a random person called Dave on the Royal Mile.
