Born and bred in Bristol, Tanya Chainey swapped her combine harvester for a Chelsea tractor when she moved up to London, to find those infamous gold-paved streets.
Whilst applying for straight acting roles, she worked as Creative Director for 'Splodge', a children's educational and entertainment company. Tanya soon discovered her knack for writing and presenting workshops for children - with humour at the centre of everything.
She did a stand up comedy course in her twenties, but lacked confidence in her own writing to pursue it any further.
After getting married, having kids and a bout of post natal depression, the world is a her lobster! She is currently touring her first one woman show: 'How to be a bit less crap, a bit more of the time...' showing at Brighton Fringe in May: https://www.brightonfringe.org/events/how-to-be-a-bit-less-crap-a-bit-more-of-the-time/
and Edinburgh in the summer.
